Sexting

I ran across this article on msn.com about teens being charged for sex crimes like child pornography for sending nude pics of themselves and other teens via cell phone. There are two sides to the argument:

1) if they should be charged as adults for their behaviors, or

2) if it’s “normal” teen behavior and charging them as adults is too harsh.

“Kids will be kids, but that doesn’t make them criminals. This problem needs to be solved as a social problem, not a criminal problem,” Walters said.

What do you think? I wonder what Det. Olivia Benson would think….

  1. On top of that, many people who are convicted of these crimes have to register under Megan’s Law, and this marks them with this stigma for years. On top of that Megan’s law may not even work.
